The Biography of Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi was noticed as one of the most talented player in the history of football. He was born Louis Lionel Andreas Messi on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina. His father’s name is Jorge Horacio Messi, and worked in the a factory steel. And his mother’s name is Celia Maria C. who worked as the part time cleaner.

In 1995, he was joined in the youth system of Newell’s Old Boys a Rosario - based club. But in 1998, when his age was 11 years old, he was diagnosed with a growth hormone deficiency (GHD). This was a condition that stunted growth and required expensive medical treatment. Including the use of the drug Human growth hormone.

Local club, River Plate was interested in signing Messi, but didn’t want to pay for his medical treatment. However, Messi was given a trial with Barcelona and coach Carles Rexach was impressed-offering Messi a contract. And then, he moved out Spain and joined FC Barcelona’s Youth Academy, La Masia.

In 2003, Messi was made his first appearance becoming the youngest player to score a league goal with FC Barcelona at 16 years old. And in 2005, he broke record as the youngest player to score goal. And also helped Argentina got title in the Under-20 World Cup

In 2006, he was part of the double winning team which won both La Liga and Champions League. By next season, aged just 20, Messi was the first choice striker and a key part of the Barcelona team scoring 14 goals in 26 league gamers.

In 2009, Messi scored 47 goals in all competition, equaling Ronaldo’s record total for Barcelona. Then, he received his first FIFA “World Player of the Year” honor (Ballon d’Or Award). And he was very happy because he got the award.

In 2010, Messi helped Barcelona to top the La Liga and Spanish Super Cup Champions. Previously, he always practiced football every time. Apparently, he could helped Barcelona to reached victory.

In 2011, he helped again Barcelona to lead La Liga. He also helped Barcelona to lead Spanish Super Cup Champions. And he also helped Barcelona to lead Spanish Champions League.

In the calendar year of 2012, he broke the all time wond record for most goals scored in a calendar year. His final total of goals in 2012 was 91-beating.

On October 21, 2013, he broke record of football player who achived FIFA Ballon d’Or for the fourth time. He rested forth time because he got an accident.

However, his named more popular and he was success as player football.
